OLD GUITARIST BY PABLO PICASSO 1903
Students were asked to select a well-known painting to study its use of color. Pablo Picasso’s Old Guitarist was chosen and a series of 4 collages were produced to investigate the interaction between blue and green tones. When shades & tones of blue are used around tints of green, the interaction of colors produces the brown tones seen in the original painting.
